NewsSplash: Battle of the Ages Update, Lapapalooza Schedule, Pinole Meet Info

Sorry for the multiple NewsSplashes that are getting sent out, but we are at the point in the season where information needs to get updated on a daily (and sometimes multiple times per day) basis!
Battle of the Ages Volunteer Assignments
- Here are the Volunteer Assignments
- Please read all of the instructions at the bottom of the document. Most importantly please note that it is your responsibility to show up at the appropriate time. If you do not show up on your own accord, your account will be fined $100. The Magnos are the coordinators of this meet and are concurrently stroke and turning for the meet.....they will not be able to find you to remind you that it is time to fulfill your shift.
- The shifts were all assigned with the intent that you will work while your swimmer is swimming (afternoon shifts were not assigned to morning-only swimmers; Saturday shifts were not assigned to Sunday-only swimmers, etc)
- Let me know ASAP if something does not work with your volunteer assignment. Because of the above criteria in assigning shifts, there is not a lot of flexibility for me to move assignments around.
Lapapalooza Schedule
- 8:00-9:00: 13/ups
- 9:00-10:00: 11-12
- 10:00-11:00: 9-10
- 11:00-12:00: 8/unders
If you do not participate in Lapapalooza, there is no practice and no need for your swimmer to come to the pool that day. Only swimmers actively participating in Lapapalooza are allowed in the pool as there will be no empty lanes for regular swim.
Pinole Meet Info
The Meet Sheet will be sent out as soon as it is available. Here is the rest of the info so you can plan accordingly.
Location: James Lemos Pool, 181 East J Street, Benicia
Gates Open: 7:30 AM
All families (except Stingray Families directly involved with meet set up) must enter through the front lobby doors on East J Street to then enter the pool deck via the locker rooms. Families not involved with meet set up are not to enter through the side gate.
Warm Ups: Stingrays 7:45-8:05 AM, Visiting Team 8:05-8:25 AM
Meet Time: 8:30AM - 12:30pm
Team Camps: Stingrays set up on the long leg of the grass; Visiting team sets up on the short leg of the grass. Stingrays, please do NOT set up on the short leg of the grass. We need to leave room for the visiting team to set up.
Volunteer Check In: All Stingray Volunteers must check in with Volunteer Coordinators Wendy Buresh or Bekki Callaway to get credit for hours served. Their table will be on the cement where the two legs of the grass meet up.
