What is it?  

This is an invitational meet for the 6/unders and 7/8's only.  It is a fun and fast paced meet and is a great opportunity for the younger swimmers to get more meet experience before the bulk of the season gets underway.  This is the perfect opportunity for your little one to get meet experience with no big kids around!!!

Date and Time

  • Date:  Sunday, May 31st, 2026
  • Gates Open:  7:30AM (get there a few minutes early because Benicia is in the first warmup group!)
  • Warmups:  Benicia will warmup from 7:30-7:45 in lanes 5-6.  
  • Meet starts:  8:30
  • Meet Ends:  ~11:30, usually earlier than this

Location

  • Rankin Aquatic Center
  • 100 Buckley Street in Martinez

Parking

  • There is a parking lot.  It will fill up.  Obey the no-parking signs and red zones.  Do not block driveways, or your car will be ticketed and/or towed.

Food and Vendors

  • The Otter Cafe will be open.  Balloons and tattoo art are available for purchase.

Team Camp:  ​​

  • ALL tents must be anchored or tethered due to high winds.  
  • Stingrays set up in the grassy area and covered patio behind the orange cones (along Buckley Street side) WITH CST, SVST, OAKCC, and PSST
  • PLEASE make sure you set up camp in the correct location.  There are a lot of teams for a small area.  Get there early to reserve your spot and do not set up in another team's area.  There will not be enough space for every family to have their own tent.
  • The play pool, diving well, and shallow entry steps are off limits to swimmers.

Volunteer Assignments

  • ALL families will be assigned a volunteer job.  If you are a trained Stroke and Turn Judge, you will likely be assigned to work as a meet official.  Other families will be assigned a Timer/Recorder shift or a shepherd shift.  All workers need to be 15 years of age or older.  
  • Jobs will be assigned (you do not pick), and will be announced likely the week of the meet.  No shows for volunteer jobs will be charged $150 (you will lose your volunteer deposit) and this deposit must be repaid before your swimmer can participate in future practices or meets.  Last minute emergencies only, please text Jennifer Smith at 925-759-4997.
  • Time Drops Live will be used; access code will be available at the meet. 

Registration

  • If you do not know what events your swimmer knows how to swim, please ask the coaches.  
  • Follow these steps to register: 
    • Fill out this google doc registration form
    • Pay via Zelle when you submit your google doc registration.  Do NOT submit your registration without simultaneously paying.
  • ​If your swimmer is placed on a relay (coach's discretion), the team will cover the cost of the relays. You will be notifed of any relays likely the day of the meet.  Please note on the google registration form if you want your swimmer to be considered (not guaranteed) for relays at the end of the meet. 

The registration deadline is Friday, May 15th.   No late adds will be accepted.  

Entry Fees are as folllows

  • Splash fee:  $6 per swimmer
  • Per Event Fee: $6 per individual event registered
  • Relay events:  Relay fees will be covered by the team, Coaches (not parents) select who will be on the relays.​
