League Meet Updates, Spirit Wear Update
It is hard to believe, but our season is quickly coming to a close and we need to get our ducks in a row for League Meet!!!
But first, a quick Spirit Wear Update
- ALL spirit wear orders are in. If you have yet to pick up your spirit wear, please find a board member on deck and one of us can grab it for you from the shed (typically sitting in the picnic table area under the shade). If there is a problem with your order, please email Brieanne Marshall at pr@bsrswim.org.
Now on to League Meet!!!
For those new to the team, League Meet is our all day League Championship Meet where we compete against the other 4 teams in the Tri-County Swim League--Pinole, Ahi, Crockett, and Hercules. It is our most important meet of the season!!!
Date and Time: Saturday, July 27th from about 9am-4:00pm. Warmups will take place before 9:00am but the warmup schedule is not set yet.
We need ALL Stingrays to show up and compete--the more swimmers we have, the more points we can score!

Registration Deadline
- The deadline to register is Friday, July 12th. Please register ASAP. Coach Mariska has a very short turn around time to get her meet entries compiled and relay teams made so we can not accomodate late entries.
- Register online just as you would for a regular dual meet.
- Even if you think you are registered, please double check to make sure you are!!!
League Meet Power Breakfast
- Every year we have a pot luck breakfast table for the swimmers. Please visit the sign up genius to claim an item or two to bring.
- Donated items do not have to be limited to breakfast items as we like to keep the table stocked throughout the day to keep the swimmers fed and hydrated as the afternoon progresses.
- The breakfast table will be set up at the front of our team camp area and all food at this table is free to our swimmers.
- We always need ice chests with bags of ice and these are always the last items to be signed up for. Please sign up for this if you are able! If you sign up, please leave the ice in the bag in the ice chest. Ice out of the bag freezes to itself into one large clump and can't be broken up.
- We know we have allergic swimmers, please no peanut or nut based items on the breakfast table.
League Meet Programs **New and Important**
- Meet Sheets are NOT emailed out for this meet. You must purchase a program if you want a Meet Sheet.
- This year the League is asking us to pre-reserve programs.
- Please pre-reserve a program by emailing Chris Roldan at leaguerep@bsrswim.org
- The deadline to pre-reserve a program is Wednesady, July 17th.
- Programs will be passed out, and $10 payment collected, at the breakfast table the morning of League Meet. Priority will be given to folks who have reserved a program. We may have a few extra to sell.
- Please bring exact change. We will try to have the snackbar Point of Sale purchases available, but cash will make everything go faster.
- If you reserve a program and fail to pick it up/pay for it, we will bill your credit card on file $10.
- If your swimmer wants to enter the League Meet Cover Art Contest, they must submit their entry to the Roldan Family Folder by Monday, July 8th. The info for the art contest are at the bottom of this NewsSplash.
Volunteer Jobs
- The League is actively working on volunteer jobs assigned to each team.
- Once we have the volunteer job requirements for our team, we will post the volunteer jobs to the website for signup on a first come first serve basis (just as you sign up for jobs at a regular dual meet).
- ALL families who have a swimmer competing MUST work a volunteer shift. This includes volunteer buyouts, parents of only 15/up swimmers, and board/core volunteers.
- If you fail to sign up for a job, the volunteer coordinators will assign a job to you (and this may not be a job you want, so just pick your job early on!)
- If you fail to check in and work your shift, the credit card on file will be billed $150.
