It's the Final Week!!!

With the exception of County Qualifiers, we have made it to the final week of practice!  County Qualifiers, practice will continue through Friday, August 1st, and that practice schedule will be released shortly.  Thank you to all of our coaches, swimmers, and parents for making this a great year!

 

Next week we have fun activities to thank our coaches and to hype up the team for League Champs!

 

Spirit Week

Every day has a fun theme to pump up the kids for our League Championship Meet! 

  • ​Monday - The Future is Bright! Wear neon colors & glasses to practice. 
  • Tuesday - Anything but a cap day! Anything fun on your head!  Hats, crowns, head bands, you name it!
  • Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday - the crazier the better!
  • Thursday - Dress like a coach day!! Channel your strength & leadership skills by borrowing some of your coaches' fashion sense!
  • Friday - Superhero day!  This is the last day before League Meet.  Channel your favorite superhero vibes to end the season strong!!!

 

Coaches Appreciation Week

  • From Tuesday, July 22nd through Thursday, July 24th, we will have a table with individual bags for each coach.  You may (you do not have to!) place a small gift, gift card, or thank you card in the coaches' bags.  It does not have to cost money!  We will have a table with thank you cards, markers, and paper so the swimmers can write a personalized note or draw a picture for their coaches!  Often, the most appreciated gifts are heartfelt thanks and drawings from our littlest Stingrays!  I know firsthand that the junior coaches save every drawing and note they have been gifted over the years!!   
  • Remember that items will be left in their bags for several days in the heat.  Homebaked goods and chocolates are appreciated, but they don't last in the sun.  
  • Social Volunteer Job Opportunity:  Visit our Job Signup page and knock out a social volunteer job by manning the thank you card table for the team!  It's a super easy job!!!
  • Our adult coaching staff:  Coach Steve, Coach Miguel, Coach Karissa, and Coach Alyssa.  Coach Janis also helped out immensely with our littlest Stingrays in the Spring!!!  
  • Our junior coaching staff:  Claire, Evan, Ava, Conor, Caden, Amelee, Val, Ellie
  • Our volunteer junior coaching staff: Grace, Kieran, and Apollo.

 

Knightray Deliveries:  Thursday, July 24th

  • 13/Up Knightrays, please meet at the pool at 4:00pm on Thursday!  
  • 12/Under Swimmers:  Our Knightrays will deliver Good Luck Posters for League Champs to your swimmer at your Benicia home somewhere between 4:00-6:00 pm.  If you will not be home, please reply to this email and let us know.  
  • Swimmers from outside of Benicia and swimmers who are not home can pick up their poster at practice on Friday.  
  • Send a picture of your swimmer with their Knightrays and we can post to IG and FB!  
  • Bring the posters to League Champs!  We will have zipties at the breakfast table so you can attach the poster to your tent!!!

 

Fall Swim Reminder

  • Fall Swim Registration is now open!  Register by Friday, July 25th to take advantage of Early Bird pricing!  After Friday, prices increase and we open up registration to non-Stingrays!
