Hi Stingrays,
LOTS of information to share so please make sure you read it all.
1. VOLUNTEER UNITS
The deadline for signing up for your volunteer units is Friday, May 30th. Additional jobs have been added to each meet so there are plenty of opportunities to compete your units. No changes can be made online after May 30th so please check the job commitments you have made for the season. If you have not signed up for your 30 units as a swim team family or 10 units as a swim fitness family, you will be at risk of losing your deposit. 2. VOLUNTEER CORE POSITIONS OPEN
We still need to fill the following Core jobs: Shepherds x 3 and Invitiational Coordinator. The Shepherds need to be filled by Time Trials. This is the perfect job for someone who has a 6 & under or 7/8 as these are the only 2 age groups that need shepherds.
Invitational Coordinator – please read the “Job Description’ page for an overview. This is a GREAT job for someone who wants to able to watch all their kids meets without having to work at them.

3. TIME TRIALS AND SWIM MEET SIGN UP
A reminder that you must ‘SIGN IN’ your swimmer to any meet you would like them to compete in.
Please see the ‘MEET SIGN IN’ page on the Events & Jobs tab. The deadline for signing into meets is 6 days prior to the event. For example, the deadline to sign in for Time Trials is Sunday, May 25th. If you miss the deadline your swimmer will not be able to compete in that meet. If your status changes after signing up there is an option to ‘edit your commitment’. Please ask if you have questions or are unable to figure it out.

4. TIME TRIALS incl. TEAM PHOTO MORNING SCHEDULE
The morning of Time Trials is also team picture morning. Yary Photography will start taking individual photos at 7:15am, the team picture will be taken at 8:00am SHARP.
Please wear your team swimsuit or if you don’t have a team suit, preferably a navy suit for photos.
Jen Lassahn will have photo forms at Time Trials if you didn’t pick one up at the pool yesterday. Payment MUST be made on the day of photos and checks are to be made payable to ‘Yary Photography’.
5. TEAM T-SHIRTS
Jen Lassahn will be at Time Trials with all team t-shirts that have not been picked up. Please make sure you seek Jen out. She will not be bringing t-shirts to any further practices or meets after Time Trials.
6. STINGRAY SPIRIT WEAR
We now have our own spirit wear store on our website. So if you’re in the market for additional Stingray t-shirts, sweatshirts or caps for kids, or mom and dad, this is the place to shop. On the left hand side of every page you will see a Team Apparel box.
Shipping is FREE to your door for all orders.
If you purchase 5+ items, you receive $20 off your order.
If you purchase 3-4 items, you receive $10 off your order.
You will choose from 2 logos on the front of your apparel. In addition you can customize the pack of your apparel from the selections available for an extra $4.
7. BRING A FRIEND FREE WEEK
First week of summer is ‘Bring a Friend Free Week’. Please remind any friends you bring they must complete a liability waiver before entering the pool. Liability waivers can be found on our site on the ‘Forms’ page under the ‘Team Info’ tab.
8. EVENTS PAGE
For each away meet we have included the opposing teams bio. There you can find directions to their pool as well warm up times, what concessions are available etc. You can also find team bios on the ‘Team Bio’ page under the ‘Team Info’ tab.
9. CONCESSIONS FOR HOME MEETS
Saturday Meets – locally owned food truck Bites of Chicago will be serving up breakfast sandwiches, coffee, donuts and their usual tasty sausages and sandwiches.
Wednesday Night Meets – Benicia’s Got Plate Lunch will be serving up their Hawaiian fare. Kona Ice will be there too to cool us down with sweet treats.
Concession trucks will pull into the old Kids K playground behind the grass hill.
10. LEAGUE MEET, SATURDAY, AUGUST 2ND
Our League meet this year will be a 1-day event held at the American Canyon High School. We’re really excited to be swimming league at such a great venue. More info on league will come later in June but remember your fees this year covered your entry into League so mark your calendars as we are hoping for a huge Stingray turn out.
