Battle of the Ages Final Updates/Volunteer Schedule

Hi Battle Families,

 

Here is your final update regarding this weekend's big meet!

 

Volunteer Assignments: 

  • Here are your assigned volunteer shifts. 
  • The shifts are very minimal (no more than 60-90 minutes for the entire weekend). 
  • We may need families to step up and work a second short shift if we have multiple no-shows. 
  • Please note that if you are assigned to stroke and turn, you must attend the stroke and turn meeting at 8:30 the morning of your shift. 
  • As always, a no-show will result in $150 automatically being charged to your credit card on file.  If an emergency arises, please text Krista Heredia, invitational coordinator, at 925-899-1034 to avoid this fee.
  • Please check in with Krista immediately upon arriving at camp on the day of your volunteer shift.  
  • Here is the Stroke and Turn Information....It is confusing and they will clarify all of this at the 8:30 meeting the morning of your shift.  

 

Parking

  • VIP parking for purchase is linked here
  • General Parking:  available in the main school lot, on the street at the front of the school, and in Pleasant Oaks Park across the street from the school.  
  • Coaches and Official Parking is limited to our head coach (Mariska) and Head Stroke and Turn Judges (John Freytag and Gabe Salindong).  These names have been given to Battle to allow access to the Reserved Parking for Coaches and Officials.  

 

Here is the map for team camps.  Summer School is in session on Monday, so please keep the camp area clean.

Warm Ups:  11/12's can warm up at 7:30 or 7:55

  • 7:30-7:55 am:  11-18's
  • 7:55-8:20:  9-12's
  • 8:20-8:45:  8 and Under's (note on Sunday, 8/unders will not swim until 12:30pm and warm ups are optional)

Lanes 1 and 5 are for starts and sprints, only one direction.  

During competition, lane 10 is for warmups and cool downs for only 13-18 year old swimmers.  

 

Clerk of the Course

  • All swimmers must check in at Clerk of the Course before their race.  This area is for swimmers and officials only. No parents are allowed past the volunteer table.  Follow the Twitter Feed to keep up with check-in times @phdolfins. 

 

Programs

  • will be available for purchase for $10 print / $7 digital, at Battle Headquarters next to the Snack Shack

 

Pop Up Awards:  Any swimmer who pops a time can visit Battle Headquarters for a treat!  

 

Raffle:  There will be a raffle table next to Battle HQ, Bring cash to purchase tickets!  

 

T-shirts:  Will be available for purchase
