National Anthem Singers Needed
- We would like National Anthem singers for all home meets. If your swimmer is interested, please reply back to this NewsSplash.
Time Trials Volunteers Needed
- We are still short a few timers, a head timer, and a set up and take down volunteer.
- Please sign up on the website if you would like to volunteer.
Time Drops App
- If you have not already done so, make sure to download the "Time Drops Live" app to your phone.
- Time Drops is our Stingray timing system. Our scoreboard doesn't always function well, but this app will allow you to have the scoreboard in the palm of your hand! You can see every event's times and track your favorite swimmers on the app!
Time Trials Information
- Location: James Lemos Pool
- Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025
- Time
- Gates Open at 7:30 AM. Please make sure to line up at the main entrance to the pool. Do NOT enter through the side gates before 7:30 unless you are part of the set up crew.
- If you are part of the set-up crew please arrive at 6:30 AM and enter through the side gate (in the parking lot). Check in with Leslie Clements, Meet Director upon your arrival. For safety reasons, children are not allowed on deck, no exceptions, until the lifeguards have removed the tarps from the pools. Do not bring your children for set-up unless you plan to leave them in the car until the tarps have been removed.
- Warmups: 8:00 AM.
- Meet Starts: 8:30 AM, Meet ends ~12:00 pm
- Team Camp
- Set up on either leg of the grass "L" for Time Trials only. For future home meets, the Stingrays only set up on the north end of the grass (long leg of the "L") and the visiting team gets the short leg of the "L". Do not set up on the pool deck (cement).
- The grass will be wet in the morning and it may be cold. Suggested items to bring can include tarps/blankets for the ground, warm clothes/parkas/sweats, personal chairs (the pool's plastic chairs can NOT be moved to the grass), games/books to occupy swimmers between events, sunblock, back up goggles and swim cap, sharpie to mark up your swimmer, printed copy of the meet sheet with a highlighter, and plenty of towels (3-5 towels per swimmer if they are swimming all of the events.)
- Volunteers
- Check in with Wendy Buresh and Krista Heredia at the volunteer check-in table (on the pool deck, where the two legs of the grass "L" intersect) to get credit for your shift and for job direction by 8:00AM. Failure to show up for your assigned job will result in your credit card on file being charged $150 for the missed shift.
- Food
- Our snack bar will be open.
- Meet Sheet
- This will be emailed to you the night before the meet. This tells you when and where your swimmer needs to be during the meet.
- Click this link for how to read the meet sheet
- Don't forget a sharpie marker so you can mark your swimmer's arm with their event/heat/lane assignments.
- Shepherds
- Parents, we rely on you to help us get your swimmers to where they need to go on time. For the 8/unders, please look for the shepherds, who will start gathering the swimmers by age group/gender about 15 minutes before their event is ready to start. The shepherds will collect the swimmers just past lane 8 on the side of the pool opposite the starting blocks.
- 6/Under Boy Shepherd: Janice Yee
- 6/Under GIrl Shepherd: Lesley Moa-Langi and Carla Goad
- 7/8 Boys Shepherd: Colleen Cosgrove and Spencer/Janelle Kettrick
- 7/8 Girls Shepherd: Kristina Wright
- For 9/ups, there are no shepherds. Parents and swimmers are responsible for getting the swimmers to the blocks on time. Please make sure your swimmer heads over to the blocks when the age group before them is starting their swims, so that they are ready to go when their group is up.
If you have questions, look for board members in our light blue Board Member shirts. We want to help you!
