Here are a your weekend updates!
Raffle: Private Lessons With Our Coaches
- Get your $5 yellow raffle tickets for your chance at private lessons with Coach Steve!!! Tickets are $5 each and are sold at the snack bar on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during practice.
- The first drawing will take place on Juy 3rd for one of 3 lessons on July 9th
- The second drawing will take place on July 11th for one of 3 lessons on July 16th
- The third drawing will take place on July 18th for one of 3 lessons on July 23rd.
- The raffle for Coach Steve is going so well that Coach Miguel is joining in on the fun!!! Beginning on Monday, you can purchase blue raffle tickets for a chance to win a private lesson with Coach Miguel. The tickets cost $5 each at the snack bar.
- The first drawing will take place on July 3rd for one of two lessons scheduled for July 9th.
- The second drawing will take place on July 11th for one of two lessons on July 16th!

Jamba Juice BOGO Cards!!!
- Do you want to raise money for the Stingrays and save money for your family at the same time??? Jamba Juice has given us 15 fundraiser cards that we will sell for $14 each.
- Each card gives you SIX!!!! BOGO smoothies!!!
- Purchase your card at the snack bar beginning on Monday, July 7th! What better way to relax after a hard practice than sharing smoothies!!!
Lapapalooza Prize Sheets
- Prize claim forms were put in your family folders for Lapapalooza. Please turn these in by Wednesday, July 3rd, to the Meaders Family Folder with your swimmer's prize selection.
July 3rd Parade
- Don't forget we are marching in the July 3rd Torchlight Parade!
- Meet at the end of First Street around 6:00 pm (exact location and time to be determined)
- Swimmers and their families are encouraged to march. Wear your most festive 4th of July Red, White, and Blue or come decked out in Stingray Spiritwear!
- If you signed up to be a wagon puller, please bring a wagon if you have one. To be extra spirited, decorate your wagon with a July 4th-Stingray theme!
- Swimmers, bring your swim caps to hold candy to hand out (not throw) to the crowd.
- Remember if you signed up to volunteer, you must show up or your credit card on file will be charged $150.
- If you are not marching with your swimmer, please pick them up promptly near the gazebo (towards the library). We will not have Stingray parents/coaches supervising stranded swimmers.
Martinez Meet Info for Wednesday, July 2--Meet Program Not Available Yet
- Location: Rankin Aquatic Center, 100 Buckley Street, Martinez CA
- Theme: Martinez has the fun theme of Americana for this meet. Wear your most spirited red, white, and blue to celebrate a couple of days early!
- Parking: There is a parking lot at the pool with additional parking above at the park. Any overflow will have to park on the street. Please obey the no parking signs and red zones. Do not block residential driveways. The police will patrol the area and ticket/tow offenders.
- Time:
- Gates open at 5:00pm
- Warmups: Martinez 5:00-5:25 PM; Benicia 5:30-5:55 PM
- Meet starts promptly at 6:00 PM
- Meet ends at 8:30 PM
- Junior Coaches are NOT allowed in the water with non-independent swimmers (this is a Martinez rule)
- Wednesday Evening Meet Limitations
- For Wednesday evening meets, swimmers are limited to 2 individual events and one relay.
- For Wednesday evening meets, there are no free relays
- For 8/under relays, there is no diving on the shallow end of the pool, starts will be in water
- Volunteers: Make sure to check in with our coordinators, Wendy Buresh or Krista Heredia as soon as you arrive at the pool.
- No cell phones or cameras are allowed behind the blocks.
- If you no show for your volunteer job, the credit card on file will be charged $150.
- Ribbons: Awarded 1st - 8th place for 10 and unders only; Heat Winner Ribbons will be awarded up to age 12.
- Team Camp: Visiting teams may set up along the north and east fence (from the area of the shallow entry steps to the diving board. Due to the frequency of high winds, pop-ups and tents must be anchored or tethered.

We are short several junior coaches for this meet. Parents of 8/unders, please do your best to help the shepherds keep your swimmers organized and on time for their races.
