Awards Ceremony, Volunteer Hours Served, Splash Squad Wanted and Fall Swim Practice Reminders

I hope you have all had a smooth re-entry to school life!  

 

Awards Ceremony and Ice Cream Social

  • Date and Time:  Sunday, August 24th from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM 
  • Location:  Clocktower
  • Volunteer Jobs:  We still have many available volunteer spots.  We especially need a full take-down crew.  Remember that many hands make the job lighter and faster for all involved!  If you are on the cleanup crew, please check in with Wendy Buresh and Krista Heredia to get specific assignments and to ensure your job is complete before you take off.  Clean up should take less than 30 minutes if everyone pitches in!  Sign up for a job just as you would for a regular volunteer job during the season!  Even if you have completed your volunteer requirements for the season, we can still use you!  
  • Sign Up Genius:  Please visit our signup genius to donate an item to our sundae bar.  Please ensure that you do not bring anything containing peanuts or nuts.  We have allergic swimmers, and we can not have any peanut or nut flavored items (peanut butter chips, nut toppings, Reese's peanut butter cups, etc)

 

Volunteer Hours Served

  • Please double-check your volunteer jobs over the season.  You need to have worked 4 meets and 2 social jobs to get full credit. If you are short jobs, your credit card on file will be charged for missed shifts.  
  • If you are short jobs, please reach out NOW to our volunteer coordinators, Wendy and Krista, at volunteer@bsrswim.org.
  • They WANT to work with you!  They do NOT want to charge your credit card on file.  If you are short meet shifts, they can figure something out for you to do at the Awards Ceremony to make up for it!  

 

Splash Squad

  • Our second annual Monster Splash Invitational is quickly approaching on Sunday, October 26th. 
  • The Monster Splash Invitational is our fall invitational swim meet, where we invite many other teams to attend.  There are a lot of gears to coordinate, and we would like a handful of willing parents to help coordinate and direct this meet.  
  • Is anyone interested in joining our Splash Squad to help Leslie Clements organize this meet?  Please reply to this email if you are interested!!!

 

Fall Swim Practice Begins on Monday!  There is still time to register if you have not already!  

  • Practice Schedule:  Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 18th - October 22nd, 2025
  • No practice on Labor Day, September 1st
  • 6/unders:  4:30-5:15
  • 7-10 year olds:  4:30-5:30
  • 11/ups:  5:30-6:30
