Season Wrap Up--GREAT JOB TEAM!!!

What a great season team!  We are so excited for all of our new swimmers who joined our swim team family this year, winning our second Tri County Swim League Championship in a row, and what the Monster Splash Invitational has turned in to after just two years!  

 

Monster Splash Invitational

  • Thank you to all of our families who participated in the 2nd Annual Monster Splash Fall Invitational! We hope you had a fantastic time celebrating all the hard work and dedication from your fall swim season. This meet is meant to be a fun and spirited way to wrap up the season, and your energy and enthusiasm made it a huge success!
  • We’d love your feedback to help us continue improving and making the Monster Splash even better in future years. Please take a moment to share your thoughts!

  • And here are the meet records! See who held their ground and who got bumped by a new record breaker!  The Stingrays have a lot of new record breakers and we have record breaker ribbons for them!  
  • If your swimmer is a record breaker or we have awards that they did not pick up at the end of the meet, we will drop these items off on your porch in the near future.  
  • Thanks to our new meet director Kim Patten!  She ran the meet so flawlessly that you didn't even realize that she took over for former meet director Leslie Clements!  Leslie is now our president and it is her hard work and dedication that have made Monster Splash possible these past two years.  Leslie has been involved in every aspect of organizing this meet from the very beginning--thank you Leslie and Kim!!!  

 

Rainbow Froyo Fundraiser

  • Thank you to the 116 families who turned up for Rainbow Froyo!  
  • We earned over $500 just by eating delicious dessert! 
  • Thank you to Double Rainbow for so generously being a continued sponsor of our team.  Please continue to support Double Rainbow and Rainbow Froyo during the off season!  

 

Change for Change Scholarship Fundraiser

  • We have not had a chance to add up our change and paper money (!!!) for the scholarship yet.  But thank you to all who participated!  Hopefully our younger swimmers had fun collecting change and pouring it into the jug for the older swimmers, most of whom are coaches to our littlest Stingrays!  

 

Nations Fundraiser

  • As a reminder, we will continue to hold fundraisers in the off season.  The more we raise in the off season, the more we can have in the bank for spring and summer!  As Valero has always been a huge financial supporter of the Stingrays, we have a lot of money to make up in their absence.  Our next fundraiser will be at Nations Burgers! 
  • Date:  Friday, November 21st - Saturday, November 22nd (you have TWO days to order food!)
  • Get your burgers and pies at Nation's, and the team will receive a percentage of every purchase.  
  • You can order online (details will be sent out shortly before the event on how to do so) or you can tell them at the register that you are with the Benicia Stingrays. You must do one of these two things for the team to get credit for your purchase. 
  • Unlike for Rainbow Foyo, the team can NOT stand outside soliciting orders from other patrons.  If we do so, this will void our fundraiser.

Thank you to all of our swimmers for their hard work and thank you to our families for making every season such a success.  We know that swim team requires more parental involvement than most other sports--we literally can not have a team or a season without all of you!  

Finally, thank you to all of our coaches.  Each and every one of you is such a positive influence for our swimmers.  It is great to once again hear Coach Steve's booming voice from the library parking lot and from First Street!
