Aquaknights Meet Results
Great job at Aquaknights! Here are the meet results!
As it was a preseason, non-league meet, we do not have a team score. Only individual places were recorded. The very left side of the results page has their time. If there is a negative number on the very right side of the page, this is how much the swimmer improved from their entry time.
Just a note regarding scoring (because points are visible on the results page). If this were a dual meet where we were recording team scores, an individual first place earns the team 5 points. An individual second place earns the team 3 points. An individual 3rd place earns the team 1 point. A first place relay earns 7 points and a second place relay earns 3 points. Relays are limited to one scoring relay per team per event (for example, if our A and B relays place first and second, and our opposing team's A relay places third, we earn 7 points for our first place finish and the other team earns 3 points for their third place finish).
Coach Steve makes a note about Gold (County) Times in his message below. Swimming a gold time means that a swimmer swam a qualifying time and is eligible to participate in the Contra Costa County Championship Meet at the end of the season. This is an invite only meet that swimmers must qualify to participate in. While it is fun to celebrate gold times (and the swimmers worked so hard to earn those gold caps), most swimmers will not swim a gold time over the season. Therefore, we have other bench mark times that we encourage swimmers to strive for. These are our "medal times" that are posted on the fence at the pool and can be found on the website here. Medal times do not earn them entry into County Meet, but it is a great accomplishment when swimmers earn their first bronze time and then they can strive for their silver and honor times! This is a fantastic way to motivate our swimmers! Note that the website is not FULLY udpated on the 2025 Medals Times Chart as there were a few updates to Gold Times from last season, but the clickable link to just the County/Gold 2026 Times is current.
