Hercules Meet Info for Wednesday, July 8th
Wednesday evening meets have much less time to accomplish tasks. Please be on time for everything, be in your timer seats early, and set up promptly. Our goal is to get through as much of the meet as possible. We can do it if we all pitch in!
Location: James Lemos Pool, 181 East J Street, Benicia
Gates Open: Wednesday, July 8th at 4:00 pm to the general public. All families (except setup crew) must enter through the front lobby doors on East J Street to then enter the pool deck via the locker rooms. Do not enter through the side gate if you are not involved with meet setup. On Wednesdays, we have an abbreviated setup period. If you are not involved with setup, please do not enter the pool deck to set up your camp before 4:00 pm. Line up at the door. We need the pool deck space to set up for the meet without families/swimmers crowding the deck.
Set Up Crew: Arrive a few minutes before 3:30. We need to be actively setting up right at 3:30 (but the city says no earlier than 3:30). You can arrive 5-10 minutes early to set up your tent, but once 3:30 hits, we need to switch immediately to set up mode. Please do not set up your personal camp during meet set up time.
Warm Ups: Stingrays 4:10-4:30 PM, Visiting Team 4:30-4:50 PM
Meet Time: 5:00-7:30 pm. The pool deck must be cleared of all individuals by 8:00 PM (including clean up crew)
Team Camps: Stingrays set up on the long leg of the grass (north end); Visiting team sets up on the short leg of the grass (west end)
Volunteer Check In: All Stingray Volunteers must check in with our Volunteer Coordinators Wendy Buresh or Krista Heredia to get credit for hours served. Please check in as soon as you arrive at the pool. Timers, you must be in your seats by 4:50 pm so we can start the meet on time at 5:00.
If you no-show for your shift, the credit card on file will be automatically charged $150.
Age Group Raffle Baskets
- Tickets will be sold on the pool deck ($5 each or 3 for $12 or 5 for $20)
- Visit the raffle basket table to see the baskets and purchase your tickets!

Food
- Snack Bar: Visit the Snack Bar for our regular snacks, with the addition of spam musubi for $4 and Willy's Burritos (rice, cheese, and black or pinto bean) from Sandoval's for $5. Thank you to the Appiano family for the generous donation of their burritos! Musubi and burritos are limited, so get them early in the meet!
- Sando Club Deli Sandwiches: Order your sandwich at the meet on the pool deck and they will make your sandwich to order.
