Open Board Meeting

  • Tuesday, July 14th, is our next board meeting, and it is also our annual open board meeting to our entire membership.  If you are interested in our board, want to have a say in the swim team, or just want to meet more of us, please join us! 
  • We will meet at 6:30 PM at the Benicia Community Center, 370 East L Street.  

 

Hercules "Race For Gold" 

  • ​In past years, many of our swimmers have attended the Hox Last Chance Meet.  This is a meet at the end of the season where our swimmers have a last chance to drop time.  It is mostly attended by swimmers on the bubble of a County/Gold Time.  This meet has become incredibly popular and sells out the second it goes live.  
  • To give more swimmers a chance at Gold, Hercules has developed a new meet called Race For Gold!  
  • Please note that this is not a Stingray-sponsored meet.  We will not have coaches attending in an official manner.  We are not going as a team.  You and your swimmer will be responsible for all entries, their warmups, and meet logistics.  Questions should be directed to Hercules.  If your swimmer is close to Gold, this is an additional last chance to get that time!  
  • All swimmers must be within 5 seconds of a gold time for any event they sign up for, and are limited to 3 events for this meet.

  • Within the meet information is a link to the Hercules Zeffy account.  When you click on this link, it will allow you to register your swimmer as an individual swimmer, separate from the Benicia Stingrays (Coach Steve is not responsible for entering your swimmer for this meet).  
  • Here are the County Qualifying Times. Your swimmer's PR should be within 5 seconds of a County Time for any event they enter.  

 

ECI Information

  • It's time for one of our biggest, and most anticipated, meets of the season!
  • Date:  Saturday, July 11 - Sunday, July 12
  • Location:  Deer Valley High School, 4700 Lonetree Way, Antioch
  • Event List
  • Volunteer and Stroke/Turn Schedule  Review the volunteer schedule.  Check in with Jennifer Smith each morning when you arrive to confirm your knowledge of your shift.  Most families have a job on each day you have a swimmer competing.  You are expected to promptly and independently relieve the shift before you.  Failure to appropriately complete your shift will result in a $150 being charged to the credit card we have on file.  
  • Meet Stroke and Turn Schedule
  • Pre-Purchase your program.  The pre-purchase programs sell out quickly, so order yours now.  They may have a limited number for sale at the meet, but they cost more and also sell out quickly.

  • Purchase Duck Derby Ducks here!
  • Purchase VIP parking here!
  • Team Camp:  ECI has not designated team camps. It is a free-for-all.  Please be respectful and share tents.  If possible, we will all try to assemble in one location.  This is a different school from last year, so we are unsure of the setup. We are allowed to set up in the Quad and in the designated grass areas.
  • Parent and Coach Relays:  Parent and coach relays will take place at the conclusion of events on Sunday.  If you would like to participate, bring your suit and there will be a signup sheet near the head table.
  • Kickboard Races:  Kickboard race signups will be near the head table.  This is hte first event on Sunday morning.
