Celebration of Life for Lisa Vuong (Eligh and Roman Herera's mom)
- Lisa was a huge part of the Stingrays for many years. As the family grieves their loss of Lisa, Jenric has sent his love and thanks for all of the support that the Stingray family has given his family. There will be a celebration of life for Lisa on Friday, July 17th from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at the Benicia Clocktower. You are welcome to attend if you would like.

Lost and Found
- We have accumulated quite a bit in our team's Lost and Found! Please visit the bin when it is out on deck (when we have an available board member at practice to put it out on the pool deck) to collect your items!

Lapapalooza Prizes
- Beginning on Thursday, July 16th, the Lapaplooza prize redemption table will be out on the pool deck at practice. Please visit it ASAP to pick up your prizes!
- If you still need to turn in your prize redemption form, please do so by Thursday, July 16th.
- There are pledges we have gladly accepted that have not been claimed by any families. If any of these folks donated in the name of your swimmer, please claim them so that your swimmer receives credit for the donation and can use that amount towards their prizes!
- Noah Barnes, Alli Brown, Keesha Cravanas, Hortense Gatera, Cynthia Reed, Ariane Rivera, Jennifer Silva, Lisa Szucs, Raymond Tyohemba, Heather Wong, and Maria Zimmerman

- GOOOO STINGRAYS!!!
Fitter and Faster Clinic
- If anyone is interested, there will be a clinic at Cunningham Pool on A ugust 22nd to 23rd.
- The camp will focus on fast starts, turns, and underwaters. Swimmers will receive focused instruction, high-level feedback, and extensive opportunities to practice these essential competitive skills throughout the weekend.
- Registration is officially open, and space in each session is limited. Please use the link below to view details and secure your spot:
- Camp Details & Registration: Fitter & Faster Vallejo Swim Camp Registration
- This is not a Stingray sponsored event.
Fall Swim
- So you can plan, we will be opening Early Bird Registration for Fall Swim on Monday, July 20th. Early Bird Registration will be open for one week, and then we will open registration to the general public.
- Space is limited for 6/unders to 20 spots, and all swimmers must be able to safely swim 25 yards freestyle and backstroke independently without a junior coach in the water with them.
- Fall Swim will begin Tuesday, September 1st, and end with our Monster Splash Invitational on Sunday, October 25th.
- Practice times will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday:
- 6/under: 4:30-5:15
- 7-10's: 4:30-5:30
- 11/ups: 5:30-6:30
- There will be time adjustments for the last 1-2 weeks of practice as we will have to adjust for earlier pool closing times.
- If your swimmer is now 10, and will swim as an 11-year-old next season, we ask that they practice with the 11/up group for Fall Swim (just register as normal, but show up to the 11/up practice time)
- Cost is $250 for Early Bird, and $300 after that for regular registration.
- All new 10/unders to swim team should register to reserve their spot, and then plan to attend tryouts shortly before the Fall Swim Season begins. If they fail tryouts (they can not swim 25 yards freestyle and backstroke), then the registration fee will be refunded, minus a $25 credit card processing fee. We do not expect their strokes to be perfect; we expect them to be safe, able to put their face in the water, and able to make it across the pool without a junior coach in the water with them
League Meet Updates
- Here is the info we have for League Meet so far. The timeline is assumed, based on last year's info, and may change as we get updates.
- We will open volunteer job signups as soon as the League informs us of our team's requirements. We do not have this information yet. Our goal is to have the volunteer signups available by the weekend.
- What we do know is that our team going to League this year is larger than it has ever been. Please be prepared to cozy up with other families and share tents, as our camp space is limited to what we are assigned on the basketball courts.
Nation's League Meet After Party:
- Historically, we have met at Pizza Pirate or Round Table for the League Meet After Party.
- This year, Nation's is teaming up with the Stingrays on Friday, July 24th, to Saturday, July 25th.
- They will give us a percentage of all sales.
- At the cashier, you MUST tell them that you are there with the Stingrays.
- If you order online, you need to order from the Benicia location. Enter all of your food items. At the very bottom of the menu, add "Fundraiser" to your cart. Then check out as normal. The "fundraiser" item will only give the Benicia Stingrays credit if it is purchased on July 24th or July 25th.
- We plan to order Nation's and then meet up in the gazebo park. We will all have our League meet camp blankets and chairs, so we can picnic in the park, kids can pick up their awards, and the team will earn a bit of money in the process!
