League Meet Complete Information

Benicia Stingrays

League Meet:  This is our Tri-County Championship Meet!  We will compete against the other 4 teams in our League to crown the League Champion!  We expect all Stingrays to attend this meet!

Date:  Saturday, July 25th, 2026

Location:  American Canyon High School, 3000 Newell Drive, American Canyon, 94503

Team Camps & Spectator Routes

  • Team camps will be tight this year. Teams alternate annually on the lower and upper basketball court locations with the exception of the team running Clerk of Course. Please share pop-ups and be mindful of space. There is more room in the upper court. DO NOT BLOCK fire lanes, teams are strictly prohibited from setting up in the fire lanes. We had this issue in 2025. No open flames including firepits. For the safety of swimmers and spectators leave the bikes and scooters at home.
  • Spectators will only be allowed to transit around the outside of the pool. Unfortunately, the High School pool deck is not big enough to allow for people to transit from the camps to the bleacher area via the back gate. The appropriate routes are on the map.
  • Also, we will be strict - the only people being behind the blocks are upcoming swimmers, timers, and clerk of course personnel. Volunteers will be assigned as Deck Marshals to enforce the appropriate routes. Please help us keep the meet moving smoothly and follow the guidelines.
  • Don't forget to bring your Knightrays' Good Luck  Poster!  Pick up zip ties from the breakfast table to hang the posters from your tent!!!
  • Our team is huge this year (this is a GREAT problem to have!)  Due to limited camp space, please have 3 families share one tent.   Buddy up and get cozy with your fellow Stingrays!
  • Please leave the first row of tent space open so that our breakfast table tents and volunteer tents can set up here.

Technical Reminders

  • As per USA swimming, there will be no photography or videoing from behind the blocks. This is for the safety of our swimmers.
  • Parents and Coaches are not allowed to approach a Stroke and Turn Official. If a DQ is questioned or contested that request goes to the Head Stroke and Turn Official. They will be located in the computer tent. They will make the final determination.

League Meet Power Breakfast: Sign up here to donate an item to our breakfast table!  Please drop off your potluck items at the breakfast table as soon as you arrive at camp.  The tables will be set up in the walkway at the front of our camp (at the top of the map).

Clerk of the Course:

For families who have never attended an invitational or League Meet before, the check-in process is a little different than for a regular dual meets.   Swimmers must check in for their swim about 15-20 minutes before their event at Clerk of the Course.  This means you must be aware of who is currently swimming so you can get your swimmer to Clerk at the appropriate time.  The volunteer parents at Clerk will then guide your swimmer into rows of chairs and have them sit, in order, with their heat, until it is their turn to swim. Parents are not allowed past the check-in table at Clerk of the Course. When it is their turn to swim, the volunteer parents will guide the swimmers onto the pool deck and get them to the appropriate lane to swim their event.  Parents of 8/unders, please help the shepherds help you and deliver your children to them on time!

Once your swimmer is in the clerk of course line, if they leave, they will not be permitted to swim their event. Be sure they show up to the clerk of course ready to swim, cap, goggles, towel etc.

Volunteer Assignments

  • ALL FAMILIES (even those that bought out of their regular volunteer jobs, those with only 15/up swimmers, and core/board members) must work a job.  You must check in for your volunteer job with Wendy Buresh and Krista Heredia once you arrive at camp.  All no shows will have $150 billed to the credit card on file.  The volunteer check-in area will be towards the front of camp, next to the breakfast table.  You have until Tuesday, July 21st to select the job of your choice.  After that, a job will be assigned to you, and you must fulfill this job or pay the $150 fee.  Sign up as you do for any regular dual meet.
  • Job Signups will open at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 17th.  Sign up early to get your pick of jobs!!!  If you have a specialized position such as Stroke and Turn or Shepherd, it is highly heplful if you sign up for that job for the meet!

Program

  • The program will be all digital this year and can be downloaded.  The download link will not be available until shortly before League Meet.  It is free to download.

Time Drops Results

  • The meet will also be on Time drops this year!!!!  The Time drops code is 2450 (maybe; based off of last year and this is Pinole's code, this will probably be the code).

Food: There will be a variety of food trucks present, and we will have the potluck table set up for breakfast and snacking later on.  Swimmers always ask....all of the food on the table is for our team and is free for Stingrays!  Please let the swimmers eat first before feeding yourselves and non-swimmers.  No alcohol is permitted.

T-shirts:  Shirts/Sweatshirts will be available for purchase.

Awards Ceremony

  • The awards ceremony will award individual high point to a swimmer from each age group/gender
  • There will be an overall team award:  We are back to back defending champions!!!
  • New this year will be an award to the top female and top male team as well (combined score of all of the females and then combined score of all of the males from a given team)

Nation's After Party!!!

  • We plan to meet at Nation's in Benicia after the meet.  Nation's will give our team a percentage of all sales for Friday, July 24th and Saturday,July 25th.  We can eat in the restraurant, tail gate in our cars, or go to the gazebo park.
  • How To Order!!!
    • At the cashier, you MUST tell them that you are there with the Stingrays.
    • If you order online (smart to order your food as you leave American Canyon!), you need to order from the Benicia location.  Enter all of your food items.  At the very bottom of the menu, add "Fundraiser" to your cart.  Then check out as normal.  The "fundraiser" item will only give the Benicia Stingrays credit if the purchase is on July 24th or July 25th.
  • If available, we will have ribbons and medals for distribution as well.
